Setting up a New Hakooreh, NH in the Nablus District.
Project summary: The
project is centered on the introduction into the Palestinian
communities
in the Nablus
District a new more efficient productive agroecosystems, the New
Hakooreh, NH
(family microgarden). The
NH is a small-scale horticultural production package involving
the
utilization of
low-pressure drip-irrigation equipment designed for this
purpose, a combination of
annual and
tree crops and an
operating system, which allows the farmer to irrigate adequately
according to sound
scientific principles. This NH is also based on the fact that
the agricultural
system, which
utilizes solar energy most fully, is that which have a
year-round cultivation with a
dense crop canopy;
i.e., mixed tree and annual crops.
