BERC scientists reveal the biological properties and bioactive components of Mentha spicata L (spearmint) essential oil

Date

BERC have provided the evidence that the essential oils found in the Mentha spicata L are a very important natural source of biologically active compounds and thus supports the utilization of M. spicata essential oil as a traditional medicine and opens perceptions to find more potent substances in the EO for the management of obesity, Alzheimer’s disease, and dermatophytosis, and for combating drug-resistant bacterial infections.
