BERC Researchers have successfully developed Za’tar industrial production systems suitable for irrigation with treated effluents

BERC have concluded that secondary-treated municipal effluents can be successfully utilized for irrigation of industrial crop production setups for essential oil production from medicinal aromatic plants (Syrian marjoram and white savory ) as a source of natural antioxidant and bioactive compounds without compromising yield quantity and bioactivities.

The results have been published in Industrial Crops and Products (impact factor 3.849)
